Newtown Primary School prides itself in being able to maximise the potential of each individual. We have a Junior School Council which allows our students in decision making for the school. Our Leadership program in year 6 is unique in the range of leadership opportunities and authentic experiences it provides for the students. Programs such as Program Achieve, You Can Do It, Values Education and Life Education all contribute to the health, well being and development of the child. This is the way we ensure their overall cope-ability and capability.

Newtown Primary School runs meaningful, well established Transition programs for students entering school in prep and for students new to the school during the year. We also provide strong support and experiences for those students in Year 6 to prepare them for transition from primary to secondary school.
